Accounting Associate - Tax

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Corporate Payroll Tax team as a Tax Associate.  The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidence and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Previous payroll tax experience is preferred.  PeopleSoft experience, a plus.Staffmark offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision plan options, 401(k), paid holidays and more. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities include: generating state or federal tax reports for processed payrolls and in compliance with appropriate Internal Revenue Service standards; preparing local tax withholding on a monthly and quarterly basis; preparing sales/use tax returns; processing and responding to employment verifications; maintaining appropriate files and other duties as assigned.


Successful completion of background check, credit check, and drug testing is required.
