CSC's Corporate Internal Audit Department located in El Segundo, CA is searching for an Audit Supervsor!

Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
The candidate will participate in and/or conducts financial statement audits, internal control reviews, human resource reviews, and other operational/compliance audits. This position will perform and/or lead special projects related to department administration, reporting of financial analysis, due diligences, etc. as required. Develops staff professionally to include department supervisors; lead the modification/development of audit programs; assist management in the preparation of the audit schedule and staffing engagements, direct the activities of auditors, review their workpapers and audit reports; evaluate performance of subordinates on an annual basis; and lead in recruiting efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards; in-depth knowledge of the industry, CSC, and the operations of individual business units; work independently in bringing assignments to completion with minimal management supervision, demonstrate good supervisory skills in ensuring audit staff plan engagements, conduct fieldwork, review workpapers, and draft reports to bring engagements to closure on a timely basis; and effectively communicate with auditee, peers, subordinates, and department management, both orally and in writing. Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5-6 years of financial accounting/auditing experience with at least 3-4 years in public accounting essential. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/CIA/CISA preferred. The candidate must be able to provide recommendations to improve overall efficiency and offer potential solutions to engagement problems, such as time overruns, client obstacles, shortage of staffing resources, etc; assess importance of projects, considering related risks and benefit of recommendations that may result from performing the project. Must have ability to use time wisely by prioritizing tasks and delegating assignments and manage multiple and/or complex engagements to meet time deadlines; take a leadership role in encouraging teamwork among audit team members, between audit teams and clients, and within the entire department; and create opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in the department, and develop projects for staff. The candidate must be able to travel approximately 40% of the time.
