Accounting Supervisor

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Accounting Supervisor in our corporate office located in Cypress, CA reporting to our Assistant Controller.

 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader and have a proven track record in supervising and coordinating activities of accounting staff engaged in calculating, posting and verification duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Must have the ability to identify problem areas and take on special projects to address those problems appropriately.  Responsibilities include:

Accounts Payable Supervisory Accountabilities:Verify and process business related invoices and bills through the AP System (AP3).Reconcile, audit, code expenses and verify against policy and the General Ledger.Ensure all checks and wire transfers are process timelyInitiate stop payments on missing accounts payable check paymentsEnsure computer files and hard copy files are maintained

 

Accounts Receivable Supervisory Accountabilities:Verify and process customer remittances to update and reconcile customer?s accountsAssist Credit and Sales personnel on customer account reconciliation inquiriesMaintain file of A/R statementsEntry of daily cash receipts (checks, lock boxes and wires)Maintain daily cash receipts control for cash management purposes and provide cash collection information to the credit departmentCoordinate with the credit department regarding the application of credit memos to dealer accountsProperly maintain A/R files

 

General Accounting:Run, prepare, distribute and file various monthly reports for various Toyo staff.Invoice various related / Intercompany parties for expenses incurred per agreements or for assistance granted.Reconcile subledgers (A/R, A/P and related)

 

Special Projects:Assist with Mid-Year Review and Year End Audits

?Complete various other accounting functions when necessary

 

Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors in Accounting.  We require a minimum of 5 years experience in general accounting, which includes A/P and A/R processing, Asset accounting and month-end/year-end closing preparation.  Working knowledge of accounting software, SAP and AS400 preferred.  Advanced Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
