Accounts Payable Clerk

The successful candidate will maintain accounts payable for an assigned vendor group, prepare for month end close and assist on monthly GL account analysis.  Duties include vendor account reconciliation, data entry, processing vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursement for payment, journal entries, GL account analysis, research and reporting, any project assigned by manager.

 

Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.  Some college level accounting education is desired.  Associate or Bachelor?s degree preferred.

 

Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience with a $100 M + revenue corporation in the computer environment.  Including experiences with the following:

Oracle Accounts Payable application or similar integrated accounting systems a plus.

Microsoft Office.

 

 

Advanced understanding of accounts payable and disbursement procedures.

Ability to plan and organize work load in a large volume of transactions.

Ability to analyze accounting data in detail.

Advanced skill in Oracle Accounts Payable application or similar integrated accounting system a plus.

Advanced computer skills in standard applications such as Microsoft Office.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with vendors and all levels of employees.

Advanced skill in data entry and use of a 10 key calculator.

 

Process purchase order and non-purchase order vendor invoices through Oracle Accounts Payable (matching invoices, validating receipts, coding, data inputting).

Review transactions for completeness, accuracy, payment authorization.

Research vendor payment history, perform account reconciliation, resolve issues with vendors.

Backup for the employee expense report processing.  Ensure expense reports comply with company policies and resolve discrepancies with employees.

Prepare journal entries for month end, maintain daily cash activity worksheet, perform GL account analysis, perform special projects assigned by manager.
