Accounts Payable Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

This position will be responsible for the processing payment and management of the Company?s invoices (or payables) in addition to other various accounting and finance tasks as assigned. 

? Manage the Company?s accounts payable process.

 

? Batch process and account code the Company?s invoices.

 

? Monitor the accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment of all vendors.

 

? Maintain and build the Company?s vendor files.

 

? Process the Company?s checks.

 

? Reconcile the accounts payable clearing accounts on a monthly basis.

 

? Create monthly accruals as necessary.

 

? Work with Company?s purchasing and receiving departments in order to maintain and build efficient payables processes.

 

? Maintain excellent relationships with vendors.

 

? Supervise accounts payable employees.

 

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and /or training in the open position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience required.
