Accounts Receivable Specialist

Fluidmaster, a 49-year old company with an outstanding work environment and strong cultural values, is seeking qualified candidates for an Accounts Receivable Specialist position.  This individual is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of accounts receivable in support of customer accounts in a timely manner.  Manages all functions in collections for internal and external customer base.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Reviews cash applications in order to ensure mathematical accuracy and completeness. Daily review of Bamtrac report to maintain and ensure foreign and domestic customer accounts; receive credit for all wire transfers. Analyzes and determines the appropriateness of debits and credits in relation to shortages/overage, defective product, and freight claims. Issues check requests in accordance with predetermined guidelines for outstanding credits. Prepares adjustments to ensure all customer accounts reflect both current and correct open amounts and credits. Analyzes monthly aging of accounts for review with Corporate Controller; communicates the action steps that will be taken to resolve and correct overdue accounts. Reconciles customer accounts in preparation for month end process.

 

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience. High School graduate with some college education of accounting principles. Data entry, PC software and spreadsheet knowledge, 10 key and the ability to type 40-50 wpm. Ability to work in a flexible environment where priorities can be changed. Ability to interface and communicate with other departments and employees at all levels within the company as well as outside organizations in a professional manner.
