Accts Payable Clerk

South Chandler client is seeking an Accounts Payable clerk to work on a software conversion. Candidate will perform heavy data entry duties within their 2 computer systems, candidate will be trained on these systems. Candidate must be quick and accurate with the ten key. Receives and checks vouchers, purchase orders, and invoices for proper back-up documentation, authorized signatures, and accurate mathematical computations. Ensure invoices are entered into the accounting system in a timely manner, in accordance with Finance Department procedures; ensure invoices approved for payment are moved into the payment stage in a timely manner, in accordance with Finance Department procedures. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES: • Knowledge of accounting and record keeping practices, policies and procedures; • Ability to work at a detail level and to understand the “big picture”; • Ability to meet monthly deadlines; • Ability to work with accuracy, completeness and consistency in a high volume and fast-paces environment; • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Officials and the general public; • Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.
