Assistant Corporate Controller-Upwardly Mobile

Public Communications Services is the third largest telecommunications provisioner for correctional facilities around the country.  Our customers include state departments of correction and county jail facilities where innovative solutions provide safety and control to facility administrators, while allowing incarcerated individuals to communicate with their families and loved ones.  PCS has been in this niche market for more than 15 years.  We are solid and growing.

We have an immediate need for an ASSISTANT CORPORATE CONTROLLER/ACCOUNTING MANAGER interested in being on the cusp of phenominal growth - an ASSISTANT CONTROLLER interested in development of self and others to prepare for new opportunities as we develop and implement new products, new services, and new ideas.

As the Assistant Controller, you will have primary responsibility to manage all general accounting functions, including tax, and to assist the Corporate Controller with special projects.  We seek a professional with focus on teaming, customer service, and development, as well as a keen interest in ensuring the company's accountancy is accurate, timely, and in compliance with GAAP.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting with at least 4 years progressive accounting experience.  CPA is preferred but not required.  Experience with Solomon or similar mid-range accounting software is needed.  Experience in telecommunications industry is a plus.
