Assistant Plant Controller

Provides daily supervision (administrative and technical) of a small group of professional accountants and clerical personnel for a specific segment of accounting activity. This area specializes in general ledger, sales budgets for a larger organization or general accounting for a manufacturing plant. The person has thorough knowledge of the organization's systems and can modify or develop new procedures to meet specialized needs.  Recommends modifications to standard procedures.  Participates in determining the proper accounting treatmetn of complex or unusual transactions.  Assures adequate documentation/support of transactions and reports.  Supervises preparation of and approves reports.

 

Degree in Finance or Accouting preferred plus 5-7 years accounting experience with 3-5 of those years in a supervisory role.
