Position Description:
Ideally, you will have spent some time in sales and/or marketing . . . you could have been selling, doing market research, preparing forecasts . . . the point is you are familiar with this part of a business. You are highly flexible and thrive on challenge and change. This is a leadership position with high visibility, so you will need to be comfortable speaking with everyone from the CEO to the hourly production teams that make things happen. It is likely you have an allergy to grass (kidding) as you are very proactive and rarely stay still long enough to let any grow underneath you.
So, what will you be analyzing? You will have a hand in preparing and managing operating budgets. These budgets are very detailed and we will be looking to you for the analyses of product performance, profitability, opportunities to improve yield and profits, validation of margins, sales variances and presentation of overall business unit operating results. Nothing is really off-limits as far as analysis goes . . . you smell out the opportunity areas, get in there to dig it out and then carry your findings forward to the management team. Pretty cool stuff!
So, what does it take to be considered for this position?
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree with coursework or work experience in accounting, advanced math and/or operations research MBA would be highly desirable Proven success in conducting business analysis to influence and direct business decisions, profit modeling, use analysis tools, data modeling tools, analysis of cost and yield, business and breakeven analysis and report writing Skills and confidence in making group presentations Dairy industry experience desirable Proficiency with Excel and other database analysis application tools Exceptional interpersonal skills Unquestionable personal integrity and a passion for doing the right thing Proven leadership qualities that excel within a team Extraordinary communication ability, both written and verbal Superior intuition and analytic talents
