Buyer II (7000-44)

Will coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value. Procures PWBs, cables, subcontract manufacturing services and other commodities as assigned within FAR guidelines. Maintain and update purchasing information on the ERP database. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Experience:

Requires 2-5 years purchasing experience preferably within a Aerospace Defense company. Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Experience with leading ERP systems. MRP experience a plus. APICS and CPM desirable.


Education:

A minimum of a BA, BS degree in related field.
Qualifying candidates should have at least an education of: Bachelor's Degree
