Cash Applications Manager

Collectors Universe, Inc., the leading provider of authentication services for rare coins, sports cards, and other collectibles, has an immediate opening for a motivated, enthusiastic Cash Applications Manager.

 

Position Summary:

 

This position provides hands-on management of the cash application department in a high volume transaction environment. Critical skills include knowledge of accounting (general ledger) software, familiarity with accounts receivable processes, ability to effectively manage a clerical staff of 4, troubleshooting skills, and interfacing with operating (non-financial) departments.

 

Detailed Summary:

 Responsible for overseeing and being personally ?hands-on? in the application of cash receipts to the general ledger.Work effectively with general accounting personnel to ensure proper accounting classification of all transactions.Give direction to others and participate in processing of cash deposits, credit card charges, identifying and troubleshooting as needed.Working with operations personnel to troubleshoot order entry issues so cash can be applied properly.Work effectively with the Credit Analyst to resolve matters related to accounts receivable and customer statements.Ability to document processes, create and maintain a desk manual of the cash applications position.Effective management skills including training of staff.

 

Education and Experience:

 Associates degree in accounting or equivalent experience.3-6 years of work experience with at least 2 years in a high volume transaction environment.Navision software experience is a plus!!!
