Compliance Analyst

SUMMARY The IT Sarbanes-Oxley Analyst position is an analytical role which is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of IT compliance controls (SOX IT General Controls and Application Controls) while looking for ways to standardize, integrate the controls, and reduce the cost of compliance.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

-  Provide end-user support for BIS control owners  and serve as a departmental liaison to the specific BIS organizations. This includes coordinating the set-up and training for new users, coordination/communication of BIS organizational changes and problem tracking and resolution as needed.

-  Identify and implement process improvements, which result in greater operational and control efficiencies and effectiveness. This includes the monthly Axentis controls checklist, the tracking and remediation of audit exceptions, the publication of relevant KPIs, and monitoring of the Axentis control framework dashboard. -  Execute the Company-s Sarbanes-Oxley IT compliance plan and develop the ongoing procedures for maintenance and assignment of company controls. Provide metrics that measure effectiveness these of initiatives.

-  Communicate control deficiencies and assist with remediation action plans. 

-  Maintain document repository for IT regulatory documents (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley control assessments, issues logs, core application documentation, audit exceptions log), ensuring that documentation is maintained and updated to reflect process changes for key systems.

-  Facilitate scheduling of compliance activities. Coordinate with BIS resources for compliance with SOX and financial statement audits. Maintain status of  IT compliance efforts.

-  Serve as a resource for BIS functions, providing guidance and instruction to ensure their compliance with Company policies and procedures, including requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

-  Collaborate with key stakeholders in IT to assist with education, development, implementation, and reporting of control processes, documentation and compliance routines.

-  Ensure that all compliance and process improvement activities follow the appropriate change management, security governance, and SOX documentation required

 

-  Bachelors degree in Accounting or Management Information Systems, or related discipline with an IT or audit focus

-  5-8 years Audit experience, including internal controls compliance, risk analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and process improvement

-  Problem management and analysis

-  Reporting and monitoring disciplines

-  Domestic and/or International Travel may be required (30%)
