Corporate Controller

This person should have enthusiasm, a though knowledge of accounting (GAAP), audit experience, and have excellent leadership skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?  Prepare 10-K, 10-QSB?s and all other SEC filings. The 10-Q and 10-K entails preparing all of the consolidated financial statements, writing the management discussion and analysis section and preparing all of the notes to financial statements.

?  Consolidate all of the subsidiaries and foreign entities to create a final consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows and deal with foreign currency translation.

?  Prepare monthly review and analysis of all general ledger accounts and reconciliation?s for all balance sheet accounts; prepare all monthly journal entries and accruals for multiple companies; and month-end closing procedures.

?  Review, create and send multiple company financial statements to all management.

?  Reconcile any variances between general ledger balances and subsidiary ledgers.

?  Manage accounts receivable, which includes reviewing monthly AR agings reconciling sales invoice register to G/L.

?  Review monthly payroll entries and make quarterly payroll accruals and prepare sales commission calculations;

?  Manage Accounts Payable Department. Review weekly A/P payment list & check register.

?  Ensure all revenue has been properly recognized or deferred (SOP 97-2 is heavily used for software recognition). Review deferred maintenance entries and schedules.

?  Research various FASB?s, SOP?s, and other accounting literature to ensure everything has been properly accounting for according to GAAP.

?  Work closely with CFO and other management staff.

?  Review of daily bank reconciliation?s and all month-end bank reconciliation?s.

?  Cash Management and Cash Forecasting.

?  Prepare financial forecast.

?  Responsible for compiling all necessary tax information and support to send to outside tax consultant who will prepare the file tax return.

?  Coordinate year end audit and all quarterly review audits. Gather and collect all data necessary for the fiscal-year end audit and all other audits.

?  Prepare yearly property tax returns.

?  Enter all stock options and any other warrants or instruments granted. Maintain the option software and account for all stock and options granted appropriately.

?  Look for efficiencies and tighten internal controls to maintain a cost conscious environment.

?  Establish good working relationships with management and all employees.

?  Special projects as needed.

?  Assure compliance with GAAP.

 

Skills Required:

 

?  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

?  Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

?  Strong accounting knowledge desired

?  Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook

?  BS in Accounting or Finance

?  CPA and/or MBA a plus 

? Prefer at least 2 years of public accounting experience and 2 years of private accounting

? Experience with Great Plains, Crystal reports, and FRX a plus
