COST ACCOUNTANT 

 

 

A successful employee-owned Irvine Spectrum manufacturer of Optoelectronics and PCB Packaging Products has an opening for a Cost Accountant.  We seek an analytical person with an Accounting Degree and one year of cost accounting in a manufacturing or distribution environment.  We offer a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

 

RequirementsKnowledge of cost accounting practices, accounts payable, purchase orders and journal entry preparation Excellent written and oral communication skills Basic math, spreadsheet and computer skills Attention to detail and accuracy Analytical problem solving abilities

 

ResponsibilitiesCycle count and annual physical inventory pricing and reconciliation Monitor and assist in the input of inventory transactions Maintain the accuracy of the master information for each inventory item Prepares and monitors the accuracy of standard costs Purchase order placement, expediting, receipt of goods and creation of accounts payable Monthly commission reports Coordinate and liaison between departments Suggest and monitor procedures and systems Various financial reports, account reconciliations and journal entries
