Cost Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities:

1)  Establish/maintain Standard Cost system for all products

2)  Set up Bill of Operation

3)  Establish procedures and controls to ensure the accuracy of inventory and cost of goods sold

4)  Develop, document, and implement monthly cost accounting closing procedures

5)  Examine inventory for potential short-dated lots and failed batches to ensure inventory balances accounted for according to GAAP

6)  Perform absorption calculation and analysis

7)  Develop standard costs for new products

8)  Perform monthly cycle count audit and manage annual physical inventory

9)  Assist in development of annual operation and capital budget, and standard hourly rates

10)  Special project assigned

 

Qualifications:

B.S. in Accounting; 10Years experience in cost accounting with 5 years of managerial capacity; Pharmaceutical or Food process industries experience preferred.
