Accounting Manager

 

 

Our client, a privately-owned, 16-year old, and 2.5 billion sales company has a terrific opportunity for a dynamic individual in our growing corporate office, located in the Torrance/Gardena area.

 

We are looking for a highly organized and professional Accounting Manager with 7 to 10 years or more of post-graduate experience.  This position offers a tremendous career path for the right individual.

 

Education Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited United States University in Accounting or related field, CPA license, and MBA a plus!

 

Other Requirements: Minimum of seven years work experience in the field of Accounting. 

 

Job Description: Assist and supervise the monthly financial close; prepare multi-state tax filings; coordinate external audits; ability to analyze, research, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently; complete projects assigned by the Controller.  Experience in the fuel industry helpful, but not necessary.

 

Job Requirements:  Applicants must possess the following:

  ?  A progressive work history with minimal job turnover

?  Experience with multi-state tax filing, bank and inventory reconciliations, and month-end close.

?  Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

?  Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Access.  MAS200 Accounting software (preferred).

?  Effective oral and written communication skills.

?  Ability to work in a very fast paced operation and meet daily deadlines.

?  Supervisory experience

?  Audit / Public Accounting experience
