Facilities Technician

Facilities Technician Description: Will work under the direction of the Site Facilities Supervisor performing facility operations and services.

Responsibilities include:

Managing the card reader system to create employee ID badges, access codes, and routine backup of the card reader database. Provide customer service and information on a variety of maintenance activities and employee ID badge request.

Build/reconfigure/tear down workstations as needed. Complete and process a variety of work order assignments, including but not limited to printer/copier/fax maintenance, shipping/receiving duties, vendor coordination, general office repairs of desks, file cabinets, desk light fixtures, chairs, etc, general maintenance - cleanup of spills, trash, etc.

Serve as a point of contact for building engineering team, outside vendors, and contractors on special projects.

Perform moves, sets up, and takedowns of tables, chairs and furniture as needed for special events. Participate in office building safety including monthly fire extinguisher safety check and security administration.



Requirements:
Five+ years work experience in building office maintenance and administration. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Successful candidate must be willing to work additional hours as warranted by projects. Computer literacy required with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and able to learn how to operate the department's badge card reader system. Must be a strong problem solver with the ability to see tasks through to completion. Requires a working knowledge of, and the ability to assist with data/telecom installations.

Pay Rate: 11.00 - 12.50 Hourly DOE
