Financial Analyst - Operations

GES Exposition Services, a leading tradeshow and event marketing company, is seeking a high-energy, growth-oriented professional with demonstrated leadership abilities, integrity and passion for hassle-free service for the position of Financial Analyst - Operations in Cypress, Ca.

 

General Responsibilities:

Support local and national operations in accumulating information, analyzing data and assisting in financial reporting for corporate financials and ad hoc corporate analysis.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyze existing and proposed financial processes for improvement opportunities and efficiencies
Perform Lease Analysis
WC/GL Analysis
Financial Liason to Labor relations supporting CBA analysis
Sales Analysis Reporting review
Cash Flow Analysis / Management
Analyze results in comparison to Plan & Forecast
Govern the following processes:  Month End Close, Forecast & Annual Budget
Perform research & analysis as needed.
Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and/or requested by operations leadership.

 

 

Education/Experience: 
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
General understanding of GAAP
3-5 years General Business & Analysis Experience
Operations analysis background preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with little supervision
Must be a team player, and self-starter with an understanding of team goals
Proven verbal communication and influencing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, General Ledger systems and Reporting Packages (preferably Oracle and/or Hyperion)

Typically performs work in an office setting
Travel will be required on an as needed basis.
