The Internal Auditor will be responsible for performing financial and operational audits/reviews; assessing compliance with management defined controls; assessing the management risk and ensuring that the risk has appropriate mitigating controls; assessing that the company assets are safeguarded, and recommending enhancements where appropriate the operational efficiency and effectiveness; and performing special projects/studies as required.

Works with all levels of Miller Brewing Company management in the performance of the required duties - audits, consultations, and special projects. This may include working with the President and CEO, the Audit Committee, the vice-presidents, directors, managers, and supporting staff as needed. Additionally, works with SABMiller management and staff. Typically must gain or assist in gaining results with management and professional staff who do not have a direct reporting relationship to this position or the Internal Control Department. Periodically, has access to and works with confidential or sensitive information, the disclosure of which could adversely affect the affairs of the Miller Brewing Company. Uses human relation skills to gain or assist in gaining approval from business partners at all levels to implement recommends. Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with business partners at all levels of management to identify and respond to emerging risk issues on a timely basis. Success in this position requires the individual to increase knowledge of the latest development in auditing techniques, risk management practices, and Miller Brewing Company initiatives.

Demonstrated external or internal audit experience, preferably in a beverage/manufacturing environment. A minimum of 1 to 4 years of audit experience (could be a mix of internal and external audit experience). A mix of audit experience along with accounting experience would also be considered. Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and to focus on change activities/processes to enhance the business partner's ability to achieve the Company's objective. Demonstrated capability to apply technical knowledge (GAAP, IFRS, process improvement strategies) to strategic business issues and to strengthen the probability of success of the strategic business issues. Analytical and interpretation skills. Desire to build and maintain successful relationships at all levels of management and staff to help them achieve success in their strategies and processes. Ability to efficiently perform more than one tasks at a time to meet deadlines. Ability to work with different levels of employees in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Ability to learn and utilize teamwork and team building skills. Demonstrated good communication skills. Travel requirements: 15-30%.

Preferably, the qualified candidate should possess a current or in the process of obtaining a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent certification.
