Modelabs Group is the leading Customized Design Manufacturer (CDM) in the mobile phone industry.  As a CDM, Modelabs designs unique mobile phone handsets and markets them under well-recognized, licensed consumer brands.  A publicly traded company headquartered in France, it is rapidly growing and expanding globally.  Revenues in 2005 were approximately $200 million.  Modelabs seeks to fill positions for its newly established US subsidiary, Modelabs Inc., which will serve the United States and other markets in the Americas.

 

 

Position

 

The operations manager is an important position in Modelabs entrusted with a broad range of accounting, purchasing, and logistics management during the early phases of the subsidiary?s development.  The operations manager will have the following responsibilities:

-  Verify and enter payables & receivables into the accounting system

-  Organization of files and records

-  Assist with account reconciliations

-  Prepare financial reports for corporate office

-  Generate purchase orders, track order status with Asian suppliers, and track subsequent shipping

-  Perform occasional internet or market research

-  Assist Modelabs? management in various office management, travel arrangement, and other duties

 

Requirements



 

Modelabs seeks an individual with a proven track record (2-4 years) in either an accounting or purchasing role.  The candidate should have a strong aptitude for numbers and accounting.  The operations manager?s computer skills must include a strong capability in Excel, Outlook, and the internet.  Knowledge of Peachtree is desirable. 

 

He/she should be flexible and willing to take on a broad range of activities and responsibilities.

 

The product manager should be capable of working productively within the Modelabs US team.  The candidate should be independent and self-motivated, considering that he/she will be joining the US organization at an early development phase.  The candidate should expect a fast-paced, demanding, yet rewarding work environment. 

 

Proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus.
