Project Financial Accountant - CCI

Description:
The Project Accountant performs multiple accounting functions in support of multiple construction projects. Office located at 3 Hutton Centre Drive in Santa Ana. Duties and Responsibilities: As part of the project delivery team, coordinates and manages the financial aspects of project management. Works with the project manager and team to insure the integrity of project accounting data. Works with the project team to establish the project work breakdown structure insuring budgets established meet project management, as well as client and contractual, requirements. Achieves results by either review of data supplied by PM via Taskmaster or customized programs. Inputs or oversees input of project setup into the Oracle, Project Accounting System. Coordinate the data from different accounting systems in order to provide client invoices that accurately reflect the billing terms in the contract. Will manipulate electronic downloads of data into invoice formats. Will work with customized programs for invoicing clients. Responsible that revenue budgets are consistent with contract terms. Monitor project revenue/cost variances and reconciles as appropriate. Work with the PM to insure project costs and revenue accurately reflect the project financial performance. Will be responsible for accruals and tracking of cost for more precise project management. May be primary contact with client accounting staff. May be delegated supervisory responsibility. Will provide other accounting support and assistance as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field with four years experience or High School diploma with six years related experience, and college coursework. Specialized Skills/Other Requirements: Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Excel, Word, and Access). Experience with Oracle Project Accounting. Invoicing experience. Prior project accounting experience in a construction company highly desired. Government project and revenue accounting experience desired. Database Management and Spreadsheet development experience preferred. Background check and Drug test required.
