SEC REPORTING MANAGER

The Position
Reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, the SEC Reporting Manager will ensure compliance with regulations in all SEC, regulatory and internal financial reporting, assume full responsibility for all required filings and manage financial reporting staff. This includes researching, analyzing and implementing new accounting literature, (FASB, EITF, SEC. Etc.), including drafting management position and special projects. Interacts with all employees including accounting and finance group, and managers from various departments. Also interacts with independent auditors and various outside vendors and agencies as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience. Hold a current California CPA license. Minimum of 5 years experience consisting of a combination of public accounting, preferably with the Big 4 or regional accounting firms and industry experience. Minimum of 2 years SEC experience in a comparable accounting environment and preferably in the same service industry. Working knowledge of SEC reporting and regulatory reporting requirements required. Thorough understanding of GAAP, especially revenue recognition. An understanding of Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Knowledge of accounting for stock options preferred. Has supervisory experience. Proficiency in PC based software/windows applications such as Microsoft Office products - Excel, Microsoft Outlook. Experience using a client-based accounting system preferred. Experience with Great Plains Dynamics and FRX Report Writer a plus. Strong analytical skills, detail oriented. Demonstrated excellent written, verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills Ability to convey simple to complex financial information to individuals and groups. Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Able to work overtime as needed.
