Senior Accountant

 

Responsibilities

?  Assist with the month end closing / reporting process and the analysis of various business activities and their respective.

?  Balance Sheet / Income Statement effects.

?  Preparation of selected manual and / or system generated monthly JEs.

?  Periodic physical inventory shrink analysis and reporting. 

?  Periodic inventory burden analysis and reporting. Assist with other supply chain / business analysis as directed.

?  Design and reengineer accounting and transaction processing flow, procedures and reporting activities to improve departmental efficiency.

?  Develop prepare and distribute a monthly internal management reporting package directed towards measuring performance against targets.

?  Assist with the development, documentation, implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures.

Requirements 

?  A Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/Business and 2 to 4 years of progressive Accounting experience

?  Strong working knowledge of GAAP requirements particularly around the areas of inventory valuation and revenue recognition.

?  High transaction count, multi-site, multi-state business experience very helpful.

?  Public companies experience a plus along with SOX compliance experience.
