Senior Financial Analyst

American Sporting Goods is an Irvine-based athletic footwear and apparel distributor.  We currently have a challenging position for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Finance Department. 

 

 

Job Summary: Coordinate with CFO on strategic business analysisProvide input and schedule of reports to CFO and others regarding strategic business analysis and planningConduct financial and operation analysisBuild financial forecasting, analysis and performance measure tools and modelsEvaluate performance results to provide creative insights, implications and recommendationsRecommends new business efficiencies, involving research of best practices within industry

 

Minimum Requirements:BA/BS in Finance, MBA preferred3-4 years experience in planning/budgeting, financial analysis or general accounting, wholesale of consumer product industry preferredExperience developing complex statistical analysis, forecasting and financial ratiosStrong presentation and analytical skills requiredEffective communicator and good listener; excellent written and verbal communication skills are a mustExpert knowledge of Excel (business and financial modeling) & Advance PowerPoint skills Oracle experience a plus, financial reporting packages experience requiredSuperior critical thinking, leadership, and multi-task abilities
