Compass Bank is currently seeking an experienced Risk Advisor to provide analytical support in our Risk Management department in our corporate headquarters in downtown Birmingham, Alabama.

 

Responsibilities: Provide primary risk management and audit support to various lines of business.  That support will often take the form of analyses and testing of multiple business and control processes.  This individual will also participate with lines of business on the implementation of new systems, processes and procedures.

 

Develop partnerships with clients by understanding their goals and deliverables, key business processes, technologies, risk management practices and areas of potential risk. Additional responsibilities will include supporting other audit teams from time to time as well as the Department?s participation in acquisition due diligence efforts.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in a business discipline is required.  A certification (CPA, CIA, etc.) is a plus.  Must have three or more years of current and progressively responsible audit and/or risk management experience in a financial institution environment.  Direct experience working with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is plus.  Knowledge of MS Office Products, as well as, excellent written and verbal communication skills also required.
