We are seeking talented team members with accounting and finance backgrounds who seek responsibility, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem solving abilities, and can work in a variety of industries.  Specific experience with sales and use taxation is not required.  We will provide extensive on-the-job training. 

Because we are a consulting firm and not a traditional ?accounting? firm, the types of projects you will work on will vary considerably.  Some may involve analyzing accounting records for sales tax overpayments, while others may require that you research state tax regulations and write a research memo.  If you have the ability to ?multitask? and enjoy the challenge that comes from being outside your comfort zone, we may have the perfect job for you. 

Also, because we are a relatively small firm, you will get the opportunity to interact with clients at a level only dreamed about at larger firms.  Consequently, we require that our team members are highly professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

 Job Qualifications

Sales Tax Resource Group requires that successful candidates have exceptional organization and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.  They must also be able to work on multiple engagements and competing projects in an interactive, results-based team environment.  This typically requires that they have excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.

The right candidate may be able to substitute accounting experience for a bachelor?s degree.

Travel Requirements

Periodic same-day travel for work at clients' offices, meetings, and seminars using a personal vehicle, and occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay.
