Supervisor, Accounts Receivable and Payable

Supervisor, Accounts Receivable and Payable

 

Position responsibilities will include: 

Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and operational staff to resolve A/R and A/P related issues; provide supervision to A/R and A/P staff including performing, planning, assigning, directing and appraising work.

 

Accounts Receivable duties:  manage customer relationships to ensure that discrepancies/disputes/questions are resolved so that collections occur in a timely manner; work closely with Order Admin, Contracts and Program Management to ensure invoicing is timely, accurate and consistent to terms of contract; coordinate invoicing for prepayments as applicable; as needed, perform all aspects ot accounts receivable staff duties including posting of cash daily, processing credit memos, inputting of collection terms, setting credit limits, processing out-of-system invoices, and processing inter-company billing (collections and disbursements).

 

Credit Management duties:  analyze financial information and verify worthiness of potential customers and suppliers.  Run D&Bs for potential customers and suppliers when applicable;

manage existing and new customers to ensure credit limits and payment terms in accounting system are consistent with contract terms and credit risk has been approved by COFACE.

 

Accounts Payable duties:  supervise A/P staff to ensure timely payment of vendors; work with A/P staff and purchasing to ensure discrepencies, exceptions, disputes and questions are resolved promptly; review A/P and expense checks for proper backup documents, accuracy, signature authorization and completeness.

 

Position requirements:

-AA degree or equivalent and at least 10+ years related experience, with a minimum of 2+ years as a supervisor with multiple direct reports.

-experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

-Must be able to work efficiently and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment.

-Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively - both written and oral.

-Must be detail oriented and reliable.

-10 Key by Touch experience is preferred.
