General Office Assistant

Summary of Responsibilities

 

Accountable for efficient and effective handling of general office duties in order to positively impact the business objectives that have been set for the firm

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

Perform general receptionist responsibilities.

Review incoming and outgoing correspondence (fax, mail, etc) for NASD rules; Process and meter outgoing mail.

Prepare and write correspondence for office management.

Schedule and coordinate firm meetings.

Run administrative reports, prepare and distribute firm bulletins and communications.

Order supplies and maintain the supply cabinet.

Set and confirm appointments as required.

Provide general administrative assistance as required by office management, such as processing transfers, maintaining call-ups, copying, faxing, etc.

Complete policyholder service requests.

 

Required Competencies

 

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)

Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills

Good organization and time management skills and practices.

Attention to details

Ability to be a team-player

Ability to adapt and work efficiently within a variety of situations

A supportive nature

Willingness to assume additional responsibilities
