Reporting Relationship

Director, MarketingPrimary Purpose of Position

This position provides the necessary information to business leaders to make key decisions affecting the financial performance of the organization.  This individual ensures that the right metrics are developed and reported on to make timely and sound decisions to improve business performance.  This position conducts analysis and reporting on three major levels:  customer analysis, product analysis, and marketing campaign/test analysis. 

 Duties and Responsibilities

? Develops customer, product, and marketing campaign analysis to support key decision making to improve results. 

? Develops ad-hoc reports as needed.  Works with IT to standardize and automate on-going reports.

? Works with marketing managers to assess and develop projections for new campaign opportunities.

? Develops forecasts/breakeven analysis.

? Creates statistical specifications for direct marketing tests to ensure proper measurement and analysis.

? Determines frequency and timing of results analysis reporting.

? Conducts presentations of key analytical campaigns/projects.

? Mines the database for new marketing opportunities to improve customer value.

? Develops statistical models to provide key insights into buyer behavior as well as driving improvements in targeting customers for marketing campaigns.

? Key liaison with IT to ensure the proper data structure and tools are in place for accurate reporting and analysis. Knowledge and Skill

? Bachelors? degree. 

? Minimum of 2-5 years of analytical experience preferred. 

? Experience using analytics in a marketing environment preferred.

? Strong project management skills.

? Ability to communicate effectively, both written & verbal.

 

Software knowledge required for this position:

? Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SPSS, SAS, PowerPoint, and/or other related database analytical programs.
