Marketing Graphics Assistant

Motion Industries, a leading industrial distributor of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) replacement parts and a division of a Fortune 500 Company, has an opening for a graphics assistant in their Marketing Department located in their Corporate Offices in Birmingham, Alabama.  Responsibilities include assisting with the following: organizing and maintaining media asset management systems, designing and producing catalog layouts, announcement cards, fliers, brochures, graphics and presentations incorporating tables, templates, photos, text & digital media using Adobe Creative Suite II, Quark and Microsoft Office. Other responsibilities include: maintaining literature inventory system, literature distribution, supporting the 800 number, and providing back-up to the print shop.  Qualifications include: proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite II, Microsoft Office, QuarkXpress, working knowledge of digital file formats, (tiff, gif, eps, pdf...), basic knowledge of conventional and digital print processes, sound knowledge of graphic design layout principles and esthetic design concepts; must be able to develop and maintain goals, conceive and communicate creative ideas to product manager and team, consistently meet deadlines, possess and demonstrate solid communication, organizational and customer service skills, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment that is team-oriented.  Comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, 401k and pension.  E/O/E  M/F/D/V
