Our client has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Consumer Insights for its corporate headquarters near Phoenix, AZ.


Job Responsibilities:

?Oversee development of cost-effective strategic market research, product testing and syndicated analyses, and plans for a major business unit.
?Oversee the design and management of research projects in all areas of marketing, including new products and established brand dynamics.
?Develop actionable research-based recommendations to help guide business decisions.
?Work as an integral team member with Marketing, R&D, and Sales internal clients.
?Train, manage and mentor Market Research Managers, and/or Assistant MRD Managers or Analysts.
?Assist Director in developing and testing new research methodologies, and supporting other Departmental/Corporate market research responsibilities as needed.
?Assimilate, coordinate and regularly summarize and report major research findings to business unit leadership, Sr. Management and the company as a whole.
?Oversee maintenance of a liaison and effectively lead communication of all consumer insights (market research, syndicated, and product testing) learnings throughout the business unit, and facilitate transmission to HQ Category Management and Field Sales.
?Serve as the CI Department lead for company-wide sharing of best practices for one of the research areas (Strategic Research, Product Testing or Business Intelligence).
?Serve as the CI Department lead for developing, maintaining and communicating knowledge, including forward-looking trend information for a key consumer target.


Job Qualifications:

?Undergraduate degree in market research, marketing, psychology, statistics or other related field required.? Advanced degree highly preferred.
?8+ years experience in a combination of consumer insights research areas; strategic market research, product testing/Sensory and Syndicated Analysis in a CPG manufacturer environment preferred.
?A solid understanding of statistical techniques, including multivariate, combined with strong interpretive and analytical skills.
?Ability to identify and understand the business issues requiring research, and the appropriate research technique to employ.
?Strong prioritization and project management skills.
?Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to consolidate and communicate research findings clearly and efficiently to diverse audiences.
?Demonstrated leadership abilities.
?Ability to manage people and build teamwork.
?Customer service skills.
