Company Brief: Worldwide Supplier of components to the Aerospace Industry.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for all the technologies involved in Chip removal for high speed machining operations.
Included is the selection of inserts, cutting tools, threading tools, tapping tools, feeds & speeds.
The removal rate should be matched to the machines used & material to be machined: This responsibility is for over 850 machines.
Maintain MFG planning with this information.
Compare actual times with existing standards & revise as necessary.
Coordinate with Product Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Shop management for optimum efficiency.
Team lead in Lean MFG initiatives.
Qualifications:
7-10 years experience in a machining environment.
Lathes, mills & screw machine experience.
Exposure to lean manufacturing initiatives.
Education Preferences:
BS in Technical or equivalent.
