A&P Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

? A&P Certificate

? Basic set of hand tools

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

? Tug Operator Qualified 

? Forklift Operator Qualified

? Ground Support Equipment Operator Qualified

Experience on corporate jet aircraft

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):

1.   Adhere to BRAS General Work Requirements

2.   Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations

3. Perform inspections, making adjustments and repairs, replacing components, and correcting malfunctions or deficiencies

4. Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations

5. Document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM), Structural Repair Manual (SR), Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual

6. Access and re-install aircraft components which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks

7. Work in shops as well as on aircraft

8. Operate ground support equipment including, but not limited to tugs, jacks, nitrogen servicing and oxygen servicing

9. Provide a list of parts needed on squawks within area of expertise

10.  Assist with repairs on off-aircraft components such as flight controls, leading edges, gear components, tires, wheels and actuators

11.  Assist with complex repairs at on-site & off-site locations

12.  Assist in performing APU runs for the purpose of system operations and troubleshooting

13.  Perform other tasks such as cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and load and secure ballast and/or freight as directed

14.  Assist in towing aircraft

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Non-Essential Functions):

1. Assist with fuel or defuel aircraft as needed

2. Assist with engine removal and installation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals

2. Basic knowledge of aircraft avionics systems

3. Basic knowledge of aircraft systems

4. Basic knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM), SR Maintenance Manual and Component Installation Manual, Systems Manual, Maintenance Manuals, and various technical information necessary to perform job

5. Basic knowledge of SAP system as applicable

6. Skill to measure using a variety of basic and physical measuring devices

7. Skill to use basic hand tools necessary to perform job

8. Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job

9. Skill to operate equipment as necessary to perform job such as freon servicing and recovery equipment, cabin air pressurization cart, and air data test sets

10. Skill to troubleshoot aircraft systems and repair aircraft discrepancies

11. Skill to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function

12. Skill to apply sealing compouds
