Assembler 2 [AR06/72]

Performs all the duties of a Technical Operator proficiently required to produce solid propellant, assemble rocket motors and/or components. Works under the general guidance of a Lead. Follows formal written procedures and verbal instructions. May assist in training of Technical Operators and Technical Operator Trainees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs all duties and tasks required to assemble and prepare for shipment products made by ARC.
2. Mixes or processes energetic materials. May perform soldering operations, install wiring, pressure tests, bonds, assembles, and package parts.
3. Maintains records as required for manufactured products.
4. Works safely while producing a high quality product and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONIMTIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work environment may be temperature controlled with or without humidity control. Exposure and risk to health is minimal. Work performed on all three shifts, normally five days a week but overtime during the week and weekends is mandatory when required... Various types and configurations of automatic, semi-automatic and manually operated equipment are used. Lifting requirement is moderate (30 pounds).

High school graduate or equivalent. Must have one year experience as a Technical Operator or equivalent experience in the production of energetic materials and/or related products.
