Calibration Technician
Inspects and adjust gauges, measuring instruments, and testing equipment for conformance to blueprint specifications by performing the following duties:
Verify accuracy of gauges, height gauges, and electrical and functional gauges.
Examine gauges or measuring instruments for wear or adjustments
Inspect parts for wear, warping or other defects.
Verify dimensions of parts against manufactures specifications
Measure surface flatness and finish as needed
Compute unspecified dimensions and other data as needed.
Reassemble gauges and adjust stops and levers to specified settings.
Inspect accuracy of new gauges and instruments for conformance to blueprint specifications before they are released for production use.
Must be proficient in the use of inspection tools;calipers, mics and gauges. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers; calculate figures and amounts, fractions, percentages and ratios. Ability to write detailed reports.
