Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation is soliciting applications for a Range Safety and Telemetry Systems Manager. This full-time position is located in Kodiak, Alaska.

 

The RSTS Manager directs the operations and maintenance of the Kodiak Launch Complex's (KLC) two redundant state-of-the-art Range Safety and Telemetry Systems (RSTS). One of the RSTS systems is permanently located at KLC on Kodiak Island and the other at one of two off axis sites depending on launch trajectory.

 

Duties include:supervising support staff to assure both RSTS systems are fully mission readysupervising the RSTS teams, managing RSTS systems operationsmaintaining, repairing and configuring systems for launch support and completing upgrades to support Government and commercial customer rocket space vehicle launches.


These duties must be completed in accordance with applicable specifications and requirements including:

 RSTS Specification, Inter-Range Instrumentation Group (IRIG) standards for telemetry, AF 127-1 for range safety applications, Universal Documentation Systems (UDS) user requirements, Range Safety Operations Plans (RSOP), and Defense Security Services (DSS) standards for security applications.

 

This position ensures both the off axis RSTS and the one at KLC are maintained, configured, and operated successfully per mission requirements.
