Software Engineer, Embedded Aerospace Systems

Tucson Embedded Systems specializes in safe and robust embedded systems for control and communications applications for the aerospace, transportation, military, scientific, and medical communities.

Our company?s expertise includes safety-critical software design, development and formal testing; embedded systems for avionics, digital communications systems analysis and design, embedded data acquisition systems and real-time data processing and display.

We are seeking candidates with embedded systems design, development, and testing experience in accordance with DO-178B guidelines. Primary language of interest is C, but experience with C++ and Ada is a plus. Experience with a variety of programming languages, script languages, testing tools, and target system processor configurations highly desirable.

Candidates selected for initial interview will be asked (via phone or E-mail) about relevant experience in the following critical job skill areas:Configuration Management processes and tools: ClearCase, SubVersion, CVSRequirements Management processes and tools: DOORS, RequisitePro, specification documentation Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS): VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS Test tools: VectorCAST, G-Cover, CodeTESTExperience in industries with safety-critical requirements, such as aerospace, medical devices Process models and standards, DO-178B, ISO9000 / AS9100 / AS9006, CMMI / IPPD

Note: we have special interest in candidates who have assisted in CMMI process improvement activities.  Also interested in candidates with some Java and Eclipse experience.

Only candidates who express and possess relevant experience will be invited to continue the interview process. Candidates for these software engineering positions are sought in three tiers of experience levels:Tier 1, recent college graduates in electrical engineering and computer science with interest in desired skill areas. Tier 2, broad background in related industries with a rigorous process-oriented mindset. Tier 3, highly experienced with directly applicable work history, having previous experience working directly with one or more of our existing customers.

TES performs work in both the commercial and military sectors within the same strategic business unit, and members of the engineering team are expected to be flexible and willing to take assignments across the entire project mix.

US citizenship required, existing clearance desirable.
