AGRICULTURAL SPECIALIST

 

Centuries ago, the Oneida Indian Nation?s agricultural system was the envy of many of its new neighbors.  In recent times, as ancestral lands have been gradually reacquired, the Nation has refocused its efforts on agricultural production and now operates one of the largest farms in Madison County.  Today, the Oneidas utilize modern high-tech equipment and the best agricultural practices which encourage high yields for livestock and crops, while being environmentally friendly.

 

As our agricultural operation continues to flourish, the Oneida Indian Nation is seeking an Agricultural Specialist who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of large mechanical field equipment, the handling of agricultural inputs such as seed & fuel, and the caring for livestock.

 

Qualified candidates will have at least two years experience operating modern farm equipment in production agriculture, have a good mechanical aptitude and possess basic knowledge of general farming practices. Ability to keep logs and notes of activities is essential.  A valid NYS driver's license is required.

 

A valid CDL license is strongly preferred.
