Assistant General Manager - Water Irrigation District - Management Position

A high growth community located on the west side of the Phoenix metro area is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Irrigation District. The ideal candidate would presently be working in an irrigation district setting with knowledge of some of the following: pipeline construction, farm irrigation or urban irrigation systems and challenges; equipment related to the operation of canals and laterals, familiarity with Arizona Groundwater law, and Microsoft office computer skills (Word, Outlook,Excel,Access).

This is an excellent opportunity for an agriculture or engineering professional, early in their career, who likes to work autonomously.Initial training and oversight provided by the General Manager but within several years the Assistant Manager needs to be ready to run this multi-faceted water district which buys and sells electricity and also has sand and gravel operations.
