General Manager - Nursery / Landscape

Shemin Nurseries, Inc. has been the leading provider of horticulture materials to the landscape and contractor profession for 50 years. We currently seek an experienced General Manager to join our team.

This position is responsible?two Shemin Sales/Service centers: Mahwah, New Jersey and Orangeburg, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate market growth and profitability and tap into new opportunities

Active involvement with key accounts and site sales management

Implement marketing plans and advertising programs at site level

Ensure proper market position and pricing

Partner with executive team for recruiting, training, employee development and succession planning

Monitor and deploy sales /? service resources to ensure superior customer service throughout all product areas

Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction and manager a process of continuous improvement in site customer service

Direct and monitor inventory control process (cycle counts) to meet inventory turn goals and minimize?scrap / waste

Ensure a smooth and effective site production process, superior product maintenance, and implementation of site merchandising

Ideal Candidates will possess:

?

?? 5+ years of hands-on management experience

?

? Experience managing a high volume retail / wholesale multi-location environment

?

? Knowledge of the landscape industry and/or related products

?

? Bilingual English / Spanish is a strong plus
