We are seeking to fill a Nursery Purchasing Manager position.  This regional position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Nursery Purchasing function across the company, manage product line, vendor management, price management and all related nursery purchasing responsibilities. This position is also responsible for managing Regional and Assistant Nursery Buyers. The location of this position is flexible. 

 

Minimum requirements include:  A bachelor's degree or equivalent; possess 5 or more years of nursery procurement, management, and sales; have leadership skills, plant knowledge, business acumen, and negotiation skills.

 

Duties and responsibilities include:Manage the planning, development, implementation and measurement of the Regional Buyers purchasing effectiveness.Manage the execution and processing of the Nursery Pre-Season and In-Season order processing program through Regional Buyers and Assistant Regional Buyers. Manage Nursery Vendor Base to meet company wide objectives and regional requirements.Manage the Nursery Information Management system requirements.Hire, train, develop and retain Nursery Regional Buyers and Assistant Regional Buyers.Develop and manage regional Nursery Pricing Management process through the Regional Buyers.Develop, manage and implement all budget plans for current and future growth requirements.Provide monthly business performance updates and all human resources requirements.
