We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Product Development team as a Sr. Research Scientist at our Lakevew, CA facility.
The Position
The Sr. Research Scientist will develop effective and functional agricultural crops and botanical ingredients that are used in dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics and home care products. These ingredients include new and improved crops, botanical extracts, dehydrates, and blends. Working in cross-functional teams, the scientist will develop new and improved ingredients that start at the agricultural level or with outside suppliers and lead to the introduction of a final consumer product. Essential attributes of the scientist are scientific and technical savvy, effective oral and written communications, project management, interpersonal skills as well as problem solving capacity. The successful candidate will be recognized for his/her ability to produce results as judged by established project objectives, his/her customers and supervisor. The scientist interfaces with other departments, including Product Development, Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory, Marketing, Project Management international affiliates, as well as with suppliers is a requirement. Delivery of presentations to lay audiences is a must. Some travel is required.
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal candidate will have a BS, MS, or PhD in Plant, Agriculture, Food Science or related discipline. Must have at least 5 years of experience in the development of botanical, granulated industrial ingredients and consumer products. Experience in managing new concepts or leading project teams is required.
