Account Manager, Sales Development

Working at the Norwalk, CT headquarters, the Account Manager is responsible for seeking out new business streams/leads to achieve agreed targets from a portfolio of small corporate and trade customers.  As a key member of the sales team, selected candidate will be expected to seize every sales opportunity to maximize revenue and maintain market share.  To do this, person will create and implement a territory call cycle to ensure maximum exposure to client base, develop robust relationships that add value and drive continual repeat business, and stay actively abreast of all developments in the travel industry.

 

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in marketing, business or associated area, with a minimum 1 year sales experience, preferably within the airline industry.  Must be proactive, positive career minded individual with demonstrated achievement drive and a high level of business acumen. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Proven ability to work effectively independently and within teams along with ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships at all levels. Working knowledge of Notes, Excel, Power Point and Word. Daily and short notice accessibility to key customers, as well as some domestic and international travel is required.
