Job Title:  Supervisor, Operations & Ground Services

Department: Operations & Ground Services

Location:  Chicago O'Hare International Airport, IL.

Job Status: Exempt, Full Time

 

Job Description

 

Basic Purpose

Coordinate ANA Flight activities on ground in order to ensure the handling is done in a safe and punctual manner

 

Principal Accountabilities

1. Monitor and supervise ANA Flight on ground from arrival at Terminal 5 to departure at Terminal 1. Being able to coordinate with Ground Handling Companies and internally for the punctual and safe operations on the ramp and field.

2. Supervise airport operations-related business contracted out to the Handling Company (Flight Operations & Load Control) in accordance with the company?s policy, regulation and procedures

3. Record and Analyze the operational performance in ORD.

4. Monitor the transfer, loading and unloading of cargo/baggage, and report status and follow up for any discrepancies and/or irregularities.

 

Specific Qualification

 

Experience

Airport Operations related ground-handling experience in Airline industry or Ground Handling Company is required (such as Load Control/Weight & Balance, Flight Operations/Dispatch or Ramp Coordinator).

 

Education

Associate degree required

Bachelor degree preferred

 

Job Requirements

Strong coordination skill with calm manner

Able to work well under pressure

Strong communication skills in English, Japanese knowledge optional

Flight Operations/Load Control basic knowledge

Experience in ramp operations/ramp flow coordination

Basic Air Traffic Control knowledge (especially in Chicago O?Hare)

Ability to operate a motor vehicle locally

Able to work in inclement weather conditions

 



Cargo Agent

 

Job Title: Cargo Agent

Department: Cargo

Location: Chicago O'Hare International Airport, IL.

Job Status:  Non-exempt,Full Time 

 

Principal Accountabilities

Check the preparation of import shipment includes the arrangement of the trucking service;

Check the build-up plan;

Support sales activities of GSA;

Supervise the performance of GHA;

Proper correspondence on irregularity of cargo handling;

Check the loading/unloading the cargo and mail at shipside;

Other Accountabilities: 

Check the statistics;

 Attend the regular meeting to report problem, irregularities and improvement plan;

Co-ordinate the working flow with other sections/departments;

Management of bulletin including internal traffic notice.

 

Experience:

Airline cargo experience is required.

 

Education:

Associate degree required

 

Or any equivlent  combination of education and experience.

 

 

Job Requirements:

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and also in Japanese preferred;

Effectively present information and respond to questions or inquiries:

Well-developed interpersonal skills

Ability to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

Must be tactful, mature, flexible, and detail-oriented;

Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
