Job Requirements:
' Minimum 5 yrs of applied, hands-on design experience in a related industry; 3+
years in the use of Solidworks+ years in the use of AutoCAD required.
' Familiar with standard Engineering and Drafting concepts, practices and
procedures within a manufacturing environment.
' Experience in project management and process improvement.
' Experience in working with CAD engineers/drafters in China. Preferably with direct report relationship.
' Strong written and verbal communication skills and must be deadline driven.
' Product knowledge and experience in metal fabrication ( such as casting, forming, stamping), material and surface finish selection and manuafacturing process in the field of mechanical hardware is preferred.
Proficient in both written and verbal Mandarin Chinese.

Job Description:
Position Title: CAD PROJECT COORDINATOR
Help the company transition some drafting/designing tasks offshore to China. Be a project manager in laying out the plan, coordinating the activities, and organizing the CAD drawing database. Supervise the work of 2 drafters/designers in China. Documents and communicates results to engineering manager. There will be some hands on CAD work involved.
Primary:
' Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
' Creates timeline and execution plan in creating, translating, & transferring CAD files.
' Prepares design and verifies accuracy of drawings vs. actual parts.
' Organizes and manages workflow to overseas drafters and document control.
' Resolves CAD software and technical issues; developing re-designs: evaluating solution options.

Secondary:
* Documents engineering designs and ECNs by recording and modifying design
features, functions, operational requirements and manufacturing notes;
maintaining design databases.

Position Classification: 6-8 months (with possibility of getting hired as a permanent employee afterwards)

Special Hiring Requirements: Proficient in both written and verbal Mandarin Chinese.
