Job Description

 

With little to no supervision, plans for and executes all service activities on all assigned products. Minimizes equipment downtime to ensure optimum customer service satisfaction. Normally works in an environment where he/she is the prime and/or only hardware and software person in the area. This position is recognized for technical hardware knowledge, indepth software knowledge, and customer problem management expertise. It is required that initiative be demonstrated in all aspects of performance of assigned responsibilities and that it be promoted in others through example and encouragement. Assists less experienced team members to improve their technical and team related skills. Provide a focal point for communication between Fujitsu Computer Systems and its customers. Deliver customer support, services, and solutions which give customers a competitive advantage and maximize profits to Fujitsu. Takes leadership role in the delivery of hardware and operational services a within the account group.


Position will require person be part of standby rotation and may require person to work shift, weekends/holidays, and over time as required.




Education:
High School Graduate, Technical School

 

Skills and Abilities:

o Experience in one or more of the following:  IBM AIX RISC 6000 P series, Sun Solaris, Sun Fire, HP, EMC, Dell, Wintel systems

o Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing digital logic malfunctions and fixing problems
o Ability to use test/diagnostic equipment such as a PCs and digital multi-meters

o Ability to develop effective relationships with others and communicate with account personnel as appropriate
o Ability to conduct a business meeting
o Demonstrates project management skills
o Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills
o Projects a professional image
o Working PC knowledge

 

Experience:
4 to 8 years experience in Hardware Support provided in customer environment preferred
