Full Time CAD Operator At Interior Design Firm

Position Summary:
Prepare technical CAD design, presentation and Construction Drawings in coordination with project Engineer's, Architect's, and Designer's sketches, drawings, and details. Build and improve CAD standards and Inovus' CAD library. Provide interior design support for all required phases of any given project. All CAD documentation must be produced in accordance with Inovus' contractual obligations ensuring that our Clients? expectations and company?s Strategic Objective is met or exceeded.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Highly proficient in CAD software systems, and the ability to install, efficiently operate and trouble shoot the system.
2. Develop comprehensive CAD Standards.
3. Build Architectural and Interior Design details library.
4. Develop CAD project filing system.
5. Highly experienced in the creation and layout of Architectural Construction Documents and supporting drawings.
6. Generate brochure and portfolio graphics to assist in marketing documentation.
7. Work independently within established guidelines and interface on a regular basis with Lead Designer, Designers, Clients, and Architects.
8. Plot drawings as requested by Lead Designer and Designers.
9. Coordinate with Graphics/Printing vendors.
10. Assist Designers in the creation of presentation boards.
11. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all CAD services performed.
12. Participate in Company?s weekly team meetings and quarterly Roundtable meetings.
13. Work together with the Design Team on projects, which may include but not be limited to, Programming, Space Planning, Inventory, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Issue for Bid, Plan check and Permits, Construction, and Construction Administration, Installation, and Punch List/Completion.
14. Coordinate with Designers to understand project timelines and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications:
1. An articulate communicator with above average organizational skills.
2. Minimum 4 years experience with AutoCAD and Construction Documentation (including AutoCAD Lite 2006) or above.
3. Minimum Associates Degree in Architecture, Design and/or Interior Design, and Drafting.
4. Works independently with minimum training and oversight.
5. Commitment and flexibility to complete shifting project deadlines.
6. Self-motivated, detail oriented, and good communication skills.
7. Experience working in an Interior Design and/or Architectural firm, preferred.

SUMMARY:

Reports to: President/Lead Designer
Salary: $42,800 - $50,700
