Position Requirements:

Attention to detail and ability to work un supervised effectively and efficiently is required. The candidate must have prior experience working with large commercial retail projects. The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent proficiency with Auto CAD (2002 ? 2004) as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (XP and 2003).? Knowledge of additional software applications is advantageous including Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills are highly recommended.? Architectural degree from an accredited school is preferred.?

The candidate will have direct responsibility for portions of large projects and act in a supervisory position in giving direction to Drafters. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and administering projects through various phases of development. The candidate will be involved with project conceptualization and design development, and oversee production of all related design which realizes the concept. The candidate will be responsible for review and constructability of design concepts through implementation of design intent including coordination with the Architect of Record.

The candidate will possess a deep understanding of scale and proportion, while promoting a high level of accurate coordination among all design deliverables. Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements and retail planning concepts is required. The candidate will perform some functional design as it relates to resolving problems caused by code issues or coordination with the consultants. This position also requires the ability to assemble color schemes and materials as part of the building design process. The candidate will also be responsible for other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by management.
