Project Architect

Project Architect Description: High level - highly visible Project Architect needed for Architectural/Construction company in the Central San Joaquin Valley.

Will report to Director of Architecture and/or President for Administrative, Accounting and Business Development. Will coordinate with the Lead Project Manager for all construction aspects of the project. Makes decisions and recommendation which can greatly influence corporate relationships with clients and profitability of projects. Must possess the ability to act without close supervision.

Supervise and coordinate all work activities and act as the owner's primary architectural contact - responsible for all design aspects of a project.

Duties include:
*overall administrative and technical management on construction projects from inception through final acceptance by client.
*manage the complete planning, programming, design and working drawings for the client
*review and complete RFI's and RFP's for consultant to bid - contract and coordinate their work - assist in development of proposal
*provide quality control and coordination with architecture, estimating and operations departments
*develop new business opportunities relative to particular client, group of clients or geographical area.
*establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
* represent company in all project meetings.

Salary is DOE - company will assist with relocation.



Requirements:
* Licensed Architect for State of California
* 5-10 years experience in production and project management
* BA/BS Architecture
* Strong knowledge of Building Codes and Regulatory requirements
* Specialized experience in commercial construction - office, healthcare, retail, business parks, restaurant.
* Thorough knowledge of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities
* Superior communication skills - written, oral and interpersonal
* Strong computer skills: AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office
* Proficient in review and processing of submittals, RFI's and CCD's
